DAY 5 — Safety, Law & Collaboration

Day 5 provides a straightforward overview of the legal responsibilities and expectations of foster parents, including how decisions are made and what documentation or communication may be required. Caregivers learn how to work effectively with caseworkers, service providers, and a child’s family of origin through shared parenting practices. This day emphasizes collaboration, consistency, and understanding the legal framework so caregivers can confidently support a child’s safety, stability, and long term planning.
