• High School diploma required. Associates degree preferred

• Act 33/34 clearances and FBI finger printing

• Use of insured automobile and valid driver’s license

• CPR/1st Aid Certification

Entry level position. Experience in adoption and or foster care a plus. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as approved by the CEO.

Program Assistant

$30,000 a year

Responsibilities

1. Provide direct support to the Program Supervisors & Line Staff.

2. Maintain all family and child paperwork up to the standards of the PA foster care regulations, the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network (SWAN) regulations, HIPAA regulations and county mandates.

3. Maintain the client information contained in the Agency Databases as well as the county MPER & KIDS systems, and the SWAN portal.

4. Coordination of SWAN Referrals.

5. provide direct assistance to all foster care/adoption clients (phone and in person).

6. Create & coordinate mailings

7. Basic clerical duties (printing, copying, collating, distribution, filing, etc.)

8. To work with the support team as a whole to provide general office support as needed.

9. Provide back-up support to reception duties.

10. Participation on staff committees as assigned.

11. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as appropriate.

Education/Training

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus
• Act 33/34 clearances and FBI finger printing
• Use of insured automobile and valid driver’s license
• 1st Aid/CPR Certification

Experience

1-2 years experience in office administration. Experience in adoption and or foster care a plus. A combination of education and experience may be accepted as approved by the CEO.
