FEES

The following fees are associated specifically with
Three Rivers Adoption Council’s adoption/foster care process.
Fees are not inclusive and may change at any time.

Estimated Costs

Foster Care & Adoption

• Child Line Clearance. Must be obtained every year, for all persons in the household 14 years of age and older.
Cost: $8.00 per person

• State Police Clearance. Must be obtained every year, for all persons in the household 18 years of age and older.
Cost: $8.00 per person

• FBI Clearance. Must be obtained every 2 years, for all persons in the household 18 years of age and older.
Cost: $25.75 per person

• Physical Exam and TB Test. Physical exams must be obtained on each adult person in the household age 18 years of age and older. Physical exams (only) must be obtained on all children in the home. All exams must also indicate that applicants/children are free from communicable diseases.
Cost: Varies by physician and insurance

Additional Fees for Those Adopting

• Intent to Adopt Cost: $20.00
• Report of Intermediary (2) Cost: $30.00 each ($60.00 total)
• Finalization/Court Costs* Cost: Varies
• Attorney Fees* Cost: Varies

*Court costs may vary depending on what is required for your particular case. An example of this may include travel expenses to visit or accept placement of your child.

*In some cases it may be necessary for adoptive families to obtain legal counsel to complete the adoption process. In these instances, TRAC is able to refer an attorney that is experienced in working with our families.
